Frans Dam was born and raised in the Netherlands. Growing up in a creative household, artistic expression has always been encouraged.

Frans is a graduate of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City.

In the US he has performed in off-Broadway productions as well as Indie films.
Over the past three years Frans has been working in the Dutch film and theatre scene.

In some of his most recent work he played one of the leads in the Dutch feature film Kwestie van Geduld (Directed by Ruud Schuurman, Tom de Mol Productions & Dutch Filmworks). He also featured in Tatta, Mocro Maffia, Het Gouden Uur en De Stamhouder. As well as playing a lead in the short film Afloat (Directed by Jan Pool).

Over the past one and a half years, Frans has been developing a script for a feature film that looks at the challenges of drug addiction in the region of his upbringing.

He is currently based out of Amsterdam.
